Obama education plan to be set for US

President Barack Obama of the US is now pushing for education reform.
In his weekly internet and radio address Saturday, Mr Obama said he had plans which he would take to Congress to ensure all students graduate from high school, ready for college and a career.
In an ambitious overhaul of the country's education system, he said his plan would be an overhaul of the “no child left behind” campaign of his predecessor, George W Bush.
President Bush’s plan had been controversial because it had insisted on standardised testing and penalties for schools that did not meet national standards.
In his address, Mr Obama said his plan would be to decentralise education reform, with local schools and districts having flexibility while the federal government looked on to ensure the setting of a "high bar" for standards.
The plan will be presented to Congress on Monday.  Email this story to a friend

of course the sick republican will go against this again, they never care they just care on how much money will go to their pockets!!

There lot of talk coming from the President Obama,and should be delegated to his secretary who has vast of experience and know how. Everything we talk the dollar value goes down.He has not done any major development for the country but put the United States in the hole, the American are losing jobs and the economy of the nation is not very healthy.Stop town hall meeting and do business.

now there is a winner! they also saw Enron go down and the Global finacial crisis.. Now there is a great record!.. Also recall record tax cuts in there somewhere

Wounded America
Republicans have stripped America of so many resources that they were unaware when she kneeled on bended knee bleeding. She is under reconstructive surgery now and it is hard to battle cancer when it has gone so long untreated. Shame on the republicans for saying we are in a hole because of the president! No we are in a hole because the republicans have stolen from American for years and passed legislation to assist colossal companies needed big tax breaks and laws passed to get richer. Now that America is done she needs she needs to be overhauled. Lets face it every medicine you take to heal does not always taste good and can be very expensive but you need it to save your life. Just like America needs healing now due to GREED, GREED, GREED. Pass health reform and give me the same insurance you have REPUBS, or give up what you have and join a smaller pool. BET YOU WON’T DO THAT! PUBLIC OPTION PLZ ADD BACK!!! OVERHAUL OVERHAUL from economy, to education, to medical insurance, and monitoring big bonuses to GORILLA COMPANIES!!!

The biggest difference in the republicans and the democrats is that the democrats feel that they must spend to fix everything, and the republicans feel that they should store the wealth of the nation in their own pockets without spending.Our best choice would have been McCain/Palin but they didn’t have enough money to get in.
