LPGA stars Stacy Lewis and Brittany Lang are embracing their roots and entering the Texas Women's Open next week.
Cheyenne Knight, who won the LPGA Tour's Volunteers of America Texas Shootout, is also in the field for the event scheduled for June 2-4 at the Old American Golf Club outside of Dallas, Texas.
Lang, a one-time major winner, and Lewis, a two-time major winner, were raised in Texas and are among the notables in the event.
The LPGA Tour is not scheduled to return until July.
Gerina Piller, Maria Fassi and Celine Boutier are also in next week's event, Golfweek reported.
Many of the same players were scheduled to be in Texas next week for the U.S. Women's Open in Houston before USGA officials moved that event to December.
