Cleveland Browns starting linebacker Anthony Walker will be placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring strain, multiple media outlets reported Friday.

Walker was listed as limited during Thursday's practice.

He will miss the next three weeks for the Browns (0-1), who will look to rebound from a season-opening loss on Sunday when they host the Houston Texans (1-0).

Walker, 26, recorded 10 tackles and participated in all but two snaps in Cleveland's 33-29 setback to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. The game was his first with the Browns since signing a one-year, $3 million contract on March 19.

Walker has collected 353 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 58 career games (49 starts) with the Indianapolis Colts and Browns.

Linebacker Mack Wilson likely will see an increase in snaps in place of Walker.

ESPN reported the Browns are expected to work out linebacker Reuben Foster on Friday. The 27-year-old Foster, who last played during the 2018 season, has played in just 16 games in his career since being selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 31st overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Off-the-field troubles and injuries have kept him out of the NFL.
