The San Francisco 49ers have finalized their inactive list ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. With rosters limited to 48 active players on gameday, several players will be sidelined for the contest in the Big Apple.
After being listed as questionable entering the weekend, quarterbackBrock Purdyis officially out for the Week 9 game. Head coach Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers are moving forward with the plan forMac Jonesto start against the Giants. As for the offensive line,Jake BrendelandBen Bartchare ruled out for the contest, howeverSpencer Burfordwas activated from the Injured Reserve list on Saturday afternoon.
On the defensive front, the 49ers will be withoutYetur Gross-Matos(knee, hamstring) andBryce Huff(hamstring), both ruled out for Week 9. Gross-Matos was placed on the team's Injured Reserve list over the weekend. Defensive linemenJordan Elliott(ankle),Sam Okuayinonu(ankle), and linebackerDee Winters(knee) were all questionable heading into Sunday's matchup, but their names are not listed on the team's gameday inactives list.
