McBride collects NFL records in 40-20 defeat

THE STORY:HOUSTON -- The Cardinals had to chase again, and that was not what they had wanted to do.

On the road against a team chasing a postseason spot, coach Jonathan Gannon's team trailed 10-0 before the offense took a snap, and eventually, the Cardinals left NRG Stadium with a 40-20 defeat to the Texans.

There were some notable moments for the Cardinals (3-11). Trey McBride not only set the NFL record for tight ends with his 16th straight game of at least five receptions, but he also became the first tight end in NFL history with two 100-reception seasons by crossing that milestone with three games still to go.

McBride finished with 12 catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

Calais Campbell blocked a field goal, the 10th of his career.

But the Texans (9-5) have fully bounced back from an 0-3 start, and if it wasn't for the Cardinals managing to hold up a few times in the red zone -- forcing field goals in three of Houston's trips inside the 20 -- it could've been more lopsided.
