A new era is underway for the Ravens, who have agreed to hire Jesse Minter as the franchise's fourth head coach.

Here are the latest reports on Minter's staff.

Offensive Coordinator

Joe Brady and Kliff Kingsbury Emerge as Strong Candidates

Brady would have an opportunity to coach two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson after working with Josh Allen as the Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator. He became Buffalo's interim coordinator in 2023 and took over full-time in 2024. Brady is stillin the mixfor a few head coach openings, including in Buffalo.

Regarded as one of the league's top young offensive coaches, Brady won a national championship as LSU's passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach in 2019, working with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Before joining Buffalo, Brady was an offensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers (2020-21) and was the Bills' quarterbacks coach in 2022.

Kingsbury mutually parted ways with the Commanders after serving as their play-caller for two seasons. Kingsbury was the orchestrator behind the Commanders' fifth-highest scoring offense (28.5 points per game) in 2024 that propelled them to the NFC Championship. A former quarterback, Kingsbury was the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-2022, compiling a 28-37-1 record, and served as the head coach at Texas Tech from 2013-2018.

The Ravens interviewed Brady and Kingsbury for their head coach opening before hiring Minter. Brady was one of three reported candidates to receive a second-round interview.

Defensive Coordinator

Ravens Complete Interview With Joe Cullen

The Ravens have reportedly completed an interview with Cullen for their defensive coordinator position.

Cullen served as the Ravens' defensive line coach from 2016-2020, overlapping with Minter's first stint in Baltimore. Cullen has been with the Chiefs for the last four seasons, helping the franchise win two Super Bowls.

Cullen was the Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive coordinator for one season in 2021 under Urban Meyer, who was fired during his first season at the helm. Cullenreportedly interviewedfor the Washington Commanders' defensive coordinator job earlier this month.

Chargers Complete Interview With Zach Orr

Orr has been the Ravens' defensive coordinator for the past two seasons, but his status is uncertain after Baltimore parted ways with John Harbaugh. Baltimore's defense took a step back this season, falling from ninth and 10th in points, respectively, in Orr's first season to 18th and 24th in 2025.

The Chargers are looking for a new defensive coordinator after Minter's departure.

Special Teams Coordinator

Chris Horton Following Harbaugh to New York

The Ravens will be reportedly looking for three new coordinators.

Horton has been with the Ravens since 2014, including the special teams coordinator since 2019. Baltimore had one of the league's top special teams units most seasons under his tenure. It ranked 12th in the league in 2025,per DVOA.

The Ravens reportedly blocked some assistant coachesfrom making lateral moves, including Horon. Horton would be adding assistant head coach duties with Harbaugh and the Giants. Minter would now decide who he wants to lead his special teams unit.

Defensive Pass Game Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach

Ravens Add Highly-Regarded College Coach to Defense

As Minter begins to build out his staff, he has reportedly dipped into the college ranks. Mickens is a highly-regarded coach who has excelled in South Bend and other stops. Notre Dame ranked third in the nation in pass defense in 2023 and fourth in 2024.

A former NFL cornerback, Mickens worked with Sauce Gardner at Cincinnati, Benjamin Morrison, Xavier Watts, and other gifted Notre Dame defensive backs. Mickens was the cornerbacks coach while Kyle Hamilton was at Notre Dame but the two surely had a lot of overlap.

Minter was a graduate assistant when Mickens was playing at Cincinnati in 2007-2008. Mickens' second job in coaching was a defensive assistant on Minter's 2012 defensive staff at Indiana State.
